Hi, welcome to my weblog,
My names Sarah Ford, I’m currently studying on a BA (Hons) in Textile & Surface Design at Cleveland College of Art & Design. Im in my 3rd & final year.
Being nearly at the end of my degree means I’ve found what I have the most passion for in textiles is embroidery, espesially hand embroidery. My main influences are Haute Coture design, this has not only had a huge influence on the technique that I use but also the fabrics, colours & overall quality feel it has.
Leaving to me is a scary thing & I dont really know what I want to do directly, all I do know is that I really do have a true enthusiasm for embroidery wheather is be bead, hand, machine & that is the path that I would like to take.
In the summer I will be going to London to New Designers where my work could be chosen for & exhibited. Im looking forward to this as it may give me opportunities for future work.
